CUI Devices’ today announced its support of FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), an international, K-12 not-for-profit organization founded to inspire young people’s interest and participation in science and technology.
For over five years CUI Devices has donated its innovative and flexible AMT103-V encoder kits and accessories to the FIRST Robotics Competition as a part of the FIRST Choice program, where the AMT encoder kits and parts are made available to over 3,600 teams of high-school students. With thousands of participants worldwide each year, the FIRST Robotics Competition aims to get students involved in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math. Each season concludes with two FIRST Championship events in Houston from April 15 to 18, 2020 and Detroit from April 29 to May 2, 2020.
“We look forward to the opportunity to support FIRST and the FIRST Robotics Competition each year,” stated Jeff Smoot, VP of Engineering at CUI Devices. “Their mission to inspire the future-generation of engineers aligns closely with our own values and we wish the students success during this competition season and into the future,” Smoot concluded.
